Decatur
Funeral service for A.C. Taylor, 93, of Decatur will be Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Gary Puryear and Alan Watkins officiating, with burial in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2015, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Taylor, who died June 11, 2015 at Crestwood Hospital, was born on May 14, 1922 in Prentiss County, MS.
Mr. Taylor was a long time member of Grant St. Church of Christ, recently was attending Lincoln Church of Christ in Huntsville. He was a longtime owner of O.K. Barber Shop on Johnston St.. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Navy. He is preceded in death by his wife, Addie Huggins Taylor.
Survivors include his daughter, Clydeen Puryear and husband, Gary; 2 grandchildren, Shawn Puryear and wife, Michelle and Angela McDuffie and husband, James; 6 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren and 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
