Alan Glen Johnson, 58, of Florence died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Shoals Hospital.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, 2017, 10-11 AM at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Funeral mass will follow at 11 AM with Father John Wadeson officiating.  Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery.  Elkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Mr. Johnson was employed at Constellium and was a steel worker.  He was a member of USW Local 200.  He will be remembered for his love of music and all animals.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Glen Johnson; brother, Bobby Glen Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Cynthia Johnson; daughters, Frances Specker and Melissa Specker (Tim Lynch); mother, Penny Johnson; grandchildren, Wiley, Eli, Sophie, and Nyla Bradley; sisters, Lise Griffin (Chris) and Emily Counce (Brad); nieces, Grace Ann Griffin, Emma Kate Griffin, AnnMarie Counce, Alisha Ergle (Jim), Christina Sherer (Channing), Kristen Epping, Brittany Epping, and Sarah Tomlin; nephews, Garrett Counce, Cody Counce, Wyatt Counce, Dillon Counce, Ricky Albright (Shera), Jason Albright, Corey Tomlin, Graham Tomlin (Jessica), and Ross Chandler.

Pallbearers will be Chris Griffin, Brad Counce, Keith Willingham, Garrett Counce, Cody Counce, and Ken Hunt.  Honorary pallbearers will be United Steel Workers Local 200.
