Funeral for Albert Rudolph Coleman, 84, of Decatur will be today, March 8, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dallas Culver officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home, Mr. Coleman, who died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Decatur General Hospital, was born May 21, 1925, in Montgomery to Thomas and Flora Bell Jordan Coleman. He proudly served in World War II as a Merchant Marine. He worked for the State of Alabama as a radio technician for the Highway Patrol and later became co-owner of Huntsville Radio Service. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. His wife, Dottie Mae Coleman, preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Thomas R. Coleman and his wife, Bobbie; two daughters, Barbara Bates and her husband, David, and Bonnie Hargett and her husband, Mike; two sisters, Eleanor O''Rear and Linda Landress and her husband, Cliff; six grandchildren, Thomas Rudolph Coleman II, Dawn Litzinger, John Joseph Paladino, Wendy Lawler, Elizabeth Hargett and Chistopher Hargett; and two great-grandchildren.
