Funeral service for Albert Roosevelt Cox, 75, of Decatur will be Thursday October 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout
's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Hank Smith officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Cox who died Tuesday October 6, 2015 was born on September 28, 1940, in Morgan County to Alton Roosevelt Cox and Lois Skinner Cox. He was a deacon at Cedar Ridge Baptist Church, loving husband and Father. He worked at A & P Supermarket of Decatur.
Mr. Cox is survived by his wife: Mary E. Cox, one son: Anthony Cox (Denise) of Decatur, two daughters: Renita Maxwell (Terry) of Falkville and Angela Cox of Decatur, one brother: Jerry Cox of Huntsville, two sisters: Emogene Phillips of Decatur and patsy Sparkman of Hartselle, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Cox.
