Funeral for Alfred Reeves, 87, of Courtland will be Saturday, December 4, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Old Bethel Church with the Rev. Charles Claborn officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Reeves, who died Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at his residence, was born July 5, 1923, in Lawrence County to John D. and Ethel Reeves. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific Theater. He was retired from the Kimberly-Clark Corp. in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Old Bethel Church.
Survivors include his brother, Noah Reeves of Memphis, Tenn.; his beloved Anne Mae Steeples and her granddaughter, Tiffany; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
