Town Creek Funeral for Allen Von White, 58, of Town Creek will be today, Nov. 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Spray officiating. Burial will be in Raper Cemetery. Visitation will be today from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. White, who died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2008, in Decatur, was born Nov. 4, 1949, in Decatur to Paul and Dorothy White. He was a graduate of West Morgan High School and Calhoun Nursing Program. He had a very distinguished nursing career in the Decatur area after serving in the Marine Corp. Survivors include his wife, Shirley White; daughters, JoAnn Newsom, Jennifer Griffis and Sandra Harris; stepson, John Fisher; sister, Shelia LouAllen; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
