Funeral for Alma Lowery Dodd, 90, of Decatur will be Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 11 a.m. at South Decatur Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Morgan and the Rev. J.T. Lowery officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Caddo Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Dodd, who died Friday, May 25, 2007, at her granddaughter's residence, was born Jan. 28, 1917, in Lawrence County to James Henry Lowery and Martha Lillian Runager Lowery. Survivors include one son, David Barnes and his wife, Kitty, of Skull Valley, Ariz.; two brothers, Sam Lowery of Decatur and J.D. Lowery of Trinity; one daughter-in-law,AlliaMae Barnes; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
