Alyene Creel, 91, formally of Florence died Monday, February 2, 2015, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 5, 2015, at First Baptist Church Florence from 10 AM to 12 PM. Funeral services will follow at 12 with Bro. Kevin Johnson and Bro. Larry Wright officiating.

Mrs. Creel retired from the Florence City School system after 30 years of teaching.

Mrs. Creel is survived by her son Joe Creel and wife Laura; sister-in-law, Lola Aune; two grandsons, Christopher Scott Creel and wife Kimberly and Jeffrey Alan Creel and wife Kayra; four great-grandchildren, Callie Ada Creel, Anna Katherine Creel, Benjamin Walker Creel, and Carson Leo Creel.

Mrs. Creel was predeceased by her loving husband, Leo, and by five cherished siblings, Luther, Orbon, Lowell, Ruby and Inelda.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Austin, Glenn Austin, Franklin Hine, Mark Dempsey, Jerry Wilson, and Richard Thigpen.
