Funeral for Andrew D. White, 86, of Moulton will be Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jackie Shelton officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. White, who died Monday, April 9, 2007, was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Limestone County to Cheatam and Katie White. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Cleveland. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. His wife, Hilda White; and grandson, Arron Helton, preceded him in death. Survivors include one son, Danny M. White and wife, Pam; one daughter, Tammy White Alexander and husband, Randy; and four grandchildren, Dustin White, Kyle White, Russell Alexander and wife, Lindsey, and Andrew Alexander. Pallbearers will be Leamon Bolan, Russell Alexander, Gary Alexander, Alton Alexander, Kenny Aldridge and Mark Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will the Adult Men 2 Sunday school class of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Arron Helton Memorial Scholarship Fund at Lawrence County High School.
