Funeral for Anita P. Hood, 62, of Moulton will be today, December 3, 2009, at 3 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Hoyt Nelson and Bill Becker officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hood, who died Tuesday, December 1, 2009, was born May 30, 1947, in Morgan County to Ward C. Preuit and Anna Pearl Preuit. She was a member of Fairfield Church of Christ and also a member of Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ward Preuit Jr. and John Preuit. Survivors include her husband, Willie Hood; one son, Bryan Hood (Karen) of Moulton; two daughters, Kay Johnston (Paul) of Keithville, La., and Angie Adair (Wayne) of Moulton; six grandchildren, Derek Wallace (Kara), Zeke Wallace (Ashley), Wyatt Adair, Torie Adair, Tanner Hood and Taylor Hood; and four great-grandchildren, Madison Wallace, William Wallace, Jacob Wallace and Taylin-Kay Wallace. Pallbearers will be Clinton Hardin, Rickey Naylor, Butch Wiley, Matt Montgomery, Phillip Powell, Jerry Puckett and Anthony Turner. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
