Graveside service for Ann W. Odom, 78, of Decatur will be Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 11 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Stray officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Odom, who died Monday, May 4, 2009, at Parkway Medical Center, was born Aug. 5, 1930, in El Dorado, Ark., to Thomas and Pearl Dunn Wilber. She was preceded in death by her hus-band of 49 years, Joseph B. Odom; one daughter, Gilda Odom Foppe; and grandson, Travis Reed Foppe. Survivors include her son, Thomas W. Odom and wife, Judith B.; daughter, Melody O. Davis and husband, Jim; sister, Rosemary Powell and husband, Miles; eight grand-children; and five great-grandchildren.
