The funeral service for Anna Castleman Franks (86), of Decatur AL, will be on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel, and the burial will take place after at Roselawn Cemetery. The family will have visitations, at the funeral home, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Reverend Bobby Newman will officiate.

Mrs. Franks was born February 11, 1935 to Charles Eugene Castleman and Olivia Ann "Dolly" Castleman Marlin (Buck Marlin) in Evansville, Indiana. She passed away on August 20, 2021 at her residence. She worked at Woolworth for 18 years, and La Petite Academy. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post 4190, a member of the American Legion, a member of The Boot Scooters and was a volunteer at Decatur General Hospital/Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was preceded in death by stepdaughter Theana Brown, stepson Stanford "Stan" Franks, and her husband Winford "Skinny" Franks.

She is survived by her three sons Jack Cook Jr. Evansville IN, Jerry Cook (Diana) Oakland City IN, Jeff Cook (Tammie) Decatur AL, daughter Anna Hunt Evansville IN, stepdaughter Debbie Brown Danville AL, twenty-one grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
