Anne D. DeMent, retired U.S. Air Force Major, died Tuesday afternoon, March 20, 2007. She is survived by three nephews, Byron DeMent of Birmingham, Paul DeMent of Columbus, Ga., and Randy Joe Dement of San Antonio, Texas; and many great-nieces and nephews. Miss DeMent will be laid to rest in Decatur by her mother, father and all her siblings in Decatur City Cemetery on the banks of the Tennessee River. The family would like to say "Thank You" to her special friend, Harry Frost, who has been a faithful companion for over 20 years. He is an extraordinary man. Thank you, Mr. Harry Frost. Visitation will be today, March 22, 2007, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel in Decatur. A graveside service will follow at Decatur City Cemetery at 11 a.m.
