IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anne Brandon
Foster
January 3, 1942 – January 21, 2025
Anne Brandon Foster met Jesus on January 21st, 2025.
Anne Cary Brandon was born on January 3rd, 1942 in Shelbyville, TN. Anne met Bill Foster, her husband of 50 years, while attending the University of Chattanooga where she was studying opera. They met on a blind date and had 50 years of a high adventure lifestyle together, with their children Melissa and Will, traveling the country as an award winning Bluegrass and Old-Time String Band. They performed together for 35 years. Although Anne studied opera, bluegrass music managed to "enhance" her singing style.
One of Anne's favorite phrases was "that's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen". There is a word that best describes Anne, EFFUSIVE, meaning to express feelings of gratitude or approval in an unrestrained or heartfelt manner and in a very enthusiastic way. Characteristically, she did not have an inside voice and loved to talk, a lot, ALL the time. She was a mighty prayer warrior and loved praying for and with people. Anne had a servants heart. She loved serving her family, her friends and her church. Anne never met a stranger. She was a diva. She loved to laugh. She loved to sing with her friends. She was vibrant and loved color. She brought joy everywhere she went. Anne loved statement/gaudy jewelry. She loved fresh flowers and loved to plant flowers. She loved butterflies and recognized them as a sign from God. Anne loved living with Standards….poodles and leaves behind two Standard Poodles that loved her VERY MUCH. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family and other people. She loved to give of herself.
Anne leaves behind to celebrate and continue her legacy two children, Melissa and Will, daughter-in-law, Laura and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Cody, all of whom will claim to be "the favorite"
