She was a faithful member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ, and was the matriarch of the family that kept us together with her faith, her strength and her wisdom. But most of all her Love for God and her family. The family would like to share this poem with you about their Ahma.
DRINKING FROM THE SAUCER- I''ve never made a fortune, and I''ll never make one now. But really it doesn''t matter; I''m happy anyhow. I go along my journey, reaping better than I''ve sowed. I''m drinking from the saucer, cause my cup has overflowed. I don''t have many riches, and sometimes the going''s tough. But while my kids still love me, I think I''m rich enough. I''ll thank God for his blessings, His mercy bestowed- I''m drinking from the saucer, cause my cup has overflowed. If He''ll give me strength and courage, when the road grows steep & rough, I''ll not ask for other blessings - I''m already blessed enough. May I never be too busy to bear another''s load. I''m drinking form the saucer, cause my cup has overflowed.
Pallbearers will be Alan Greenwald, Eddie Freeze, Will Lard, Melvin Stevenson Jr., Aaron Greenwald, David and Roger Williams and Melvin Stevenson Sr.
