Together Again Arella Greer Hunt left this earth January 3,2009, to be with her heavenly Father and her loving husband A.L. Hunt, Jr.; She will also be with her daughter Sheree Wilson, her son Jimmy G. Hunt; her dad and mom Bayless and Odis Greer, sisters Marvella Snoddy, Estella Hollingsworth, Osella Thornton, Christine Dean, and Willodean Smith. Brothers Clinton, Clifton and Gerald Greer.
She is survived by her daughterJudy Hunt Conner, son-in-law Ralph Parker, daughter-in-law Becky Hunt. Six grandchildren, Lisa Conner, Linda Conner Elkins, Marty Conner (Kathy), Michael Wilson (Jane), Jamie Hunt (Debbie) , Cristal McCallister (Matt). Ten great-grandchildren, Dana Wilson, Laura Butler, Kisha Hunt, Jeremy Hunt, William Elkins II, Holland Elkins, Brooks Conner, Amber, Brandi, Austin McCallister. Great-great grandson Justin Hunt.
Arella was born July 14,1917,in her early years she worked at the Florence Clinic for Doctors Frazier, Middleton and Cox and also worked at Mitchell Hollingsworth nursing home. Mamma as she was known to all spent the rest of her life taking care of her family and anyone in need of her help. Taking care of other was her passion. She was a member of the first Church of the Nazarene.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00- 9:00 p.m.. Funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home Chapel. With Dr. Lee Allison officiating. Burial at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Michael Wilson, Marty Conner,Matt McCallister, William Elkins II, Holland Elkins. And Billy Elkins.Honorary pallbearers Jamie Hunt, Terry Warren, and Matt Kachelman. The family would like to thank Dr. McFall and staff .
