Arlon Gilbert Simpson, 82, of Killen died Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at his residence.

Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2018, 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel.  Burial will be at Barnett Cemetery.

Mr. Simpson was an avid crappie fisherman and loved the outdoors.  He was retired from the City of Florence as a mechanic.

Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Simpson; parents, Frankie and Rosie Simpson; brother, Glen Simpson; sisters, Shirley Baker (Gerald), Patsy Sims (Glen), and Doris Baker (Rayford).

Mr. Simpson is survived by his son, Carl Simpson (Melinda); daughter, Kay Weems (Moe); grandson, Jeromy Simpson (Brandie); granddaughter, Heather Wilson (Barkley); great-grandchildren, Mia Simpson, Addyson Wilson, and Ridge Wilson.
