Funeral for Arminda Pearson Hood, 91, will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Hood and Fred Green officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory. Visitation will be Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Hood, who died Tuesday,July 24, 2012 at her son's residence, was born June 26,1921 to Odie Odis and Penola Pearson. She was retired from G. C. Lingerie in Tuscumbia. She loved to cook for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Farris Hood; son, Coy Hood; brothers, Frank, John and Henry Pearson; and sister, Annie Hamby. Survivors include her son, Larry Hood and wife Doris; Grandchildren, Shelia Aycock (Rickey), Synthia Summers (Mark), Kevin Hood(Tisha), Keith Hood (Leah). Great Grandchildren, Joshua and Kayla Aycock, Brandie Cannon (Skylar), Garret Summers, Braxton Preston, Abbie Grace, Hayden and Sarah Kate Hood; Sister-in-law Mattie Lee Pearson and a host of nieces and nephews.
