Athalee Herston, 95, of Anderson died Friday, January 26, 2018, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing Home.

Visitation will be Monday, January 29, 2018, 11 AM to 1 PM at First Baptist Church Anderson.  Funeral services will follow at 1 PM with Bro. J.D. Harrison and Bro. James Waddell officiating.  Burial will be at Mitchell Cemetery.  Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.

Mrs. Herston was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Herston; parents, Tom and Mollie McConnell; sisters, Pauline Patterson, Frenchie Raney, Nora Mae McConnell, Corena McConnell, Bonnie White, and Letha Mae Davis; brother, Almon McConnell.

Mrs. Herston is survived by her daughter, Myra Farr (Walt); sons, Michael Herston (Diane) and Richard Herston (Diane); grandchildren, Brooke Hamm (Michael), Lori Pearcy, Trey Herston (Rachel), Marco Moyers (Amber), and Cody Farr; great-grandchildren, Ethan Hamm, Jackson Hamm, Ryann Pearcy, Elliot Moyers, John Moyers, and Natalie Barrett; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
