Audrey V. Creasy, age 89, of Florence went to her heavenly home Wednesday, May 26, 2010. The service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28 at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence with Brother Carl Seigenthaler and Travis Creasy officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cypress Inn. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert B. Creasy and son Donald Ray Creasy, and great granddaughter Deseree Craft; her parents Wesley and Emma McClure; brothers J.B., Owen, Alvin and Allen McClure and a sister Mary Gladney. She lovingly raised 13 children, sons Daniel (Brenda), Lonnie (Yowlanda), Charles (Linda), Phillip (Jackie), and Shannon (Shelia); daughters, Julia Craft (Neal), Doris Scott (late Don), Lillie Butler (Charles), Virginia Kletter (Tom), Betty Linville (Larry), Beverly Nix (Jim), Polly Garner (James), and Jeanette Vaden (Eddie). She leaves behind to cherish her memories a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Dessie Trousdale, Thelma Wright and many nieces and nephews that she loved. Mama''s pastime was working in her yard with her beautiful flowers. She was known by her neighbors as the "buttercup lady." She also enjoyed watching Braves baseball. She was a member of New Hope Church of Christ. The family would like to thank Dr. Danny Mcfall, Hospice of the Shoals, and everyone for their love, prayers, cards and food during her illness.
