Barbara Ann Brown Hunt, 63, of Florence passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Cypress Cove Center in Muscle Shoals. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at Elkins Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Bro. Henry Melton and Steve Nugent officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Garden.

A founding member of Faith Tabernacle Church, Barbara was active in church prayer meetings and outreach programs with shut-ins. She assisted with meal preparation for visiting ministers, Children''s Church and was a constant prayer warrior for her church and family. She also enjoyed fishing, quilting and making jewelry.

Survivors include her son, Christopher Ray McCormack (Holly) of Florence; grandchildren, Ashley Wilkerson, Ariele McCormack, Austin McCormack, and Dylan McCormack of Florence and Michael McCormack (Shannon) of Cherokee; great-grandchildren, Alivia McCormack, Harper McCormack and Bentley McCormack of Cherokee; sisters, Willodean "Dean" Ballew (Ronnie), Jeweldean Tingle (Billy), and Linda Sue Morrison; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews as well as numerous special friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Virgie Brown; brothers, James H. Brown, Clyde Brown, Jr., Billy Ray Brown, and Marshall Brown.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Steven Brown, Greg Smith, Derek Brown, Marshall Brown, Jr., Bobbie Hill, and Michael Kelley.
