Funeral for Barbara Rose Eidson, 81, formerly of Decatur, will be Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. CarolHallman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Eidson, who died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, was born Dec. 20, 1925, in Chicago, Ill., to Otto Anderson and Edna Sheets Anderson. She was a member of First Christian Church of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Beverly Eidson; and one son, Kenneth Eidson. Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Waters and her husband, Don, of Pleasant Grove, and Jean Speakman and her husband, Winford, and Jane Alred, both of Peachtree City, Ga.; daughter-in-law, Mary Eidsonof Glenview, Ill.; six grandchildren, Bill Eidson, Kevinand Jeff Waters, Alisha andJennifer Speakman andChristy Alred; and two greatgrandchildren, Charlie Eidson and Zakary Waters. Pallbearers will be members of First Christian Church. Honorary pallbearers will be elders of First Christian Church. Memorials may be made to the National M.S. Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
