Barbara Moody Griffin of Florence died Thursday, April 2, 2009. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Friday, April 3, at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Florence City Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin was retired from First Federal Savings & Loan and was an active member of Edgemont United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Griffin Sr.; mother, Louise Moody; father, J.J. Moody; and sister, Nora Nell Moody. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Nancy Griffin of Zephryhills, FL; granddaughter, Stacy Griffin of Wendell, NC; and great-grandson, Grant McGlothlin of Wendell, NC.
