Funeral for Barbara Lang Mishler, 75, of Decatur will be Friday, March 19, 2010, at 1 p.m. at First Christian Church in Decatur with Dr. Cameron Douglas officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Mishler, who died Tuesday, March 16, 2010, was born October 18, 1934, in Lawrence County to Harold and Maggie Rains Lang. She retired as a teacher from Lawrence County Board of Education and was a member of First Christian Church in Decatur. Mrs. Mishler was active in the church as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and a choir member. She received her Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Education from UNA. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husbands, Charles Laymon Coffey, Ronald Mishler and Ernia Stephens. Survivors include one son, Charles D. Coffey M.D. (Ibby) of Moulton; daughter, Anita Lynn Coffey (Pat Garrett) of Baytown, Texas; brother, Harold D. "Buddy" Lang (Joan) of Moulton; and two grandchildren, Clay Weston Coffey (Kellie) of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Virginia Beth Coffey of Moulton. Pallbearers will be Clay Weston Coffey, Robert Keith "Bob" Lang, Joseph Harold "Joe" Lang, Andy Tyler White, Russell Bogan Lang, Leslie Joseph Lang and Robert Kelton Lang.
