Barbara Carol Moody, 88, of The Cottages Florence, Alabama passed away June 19, 2018 in Florence, Alabama after a short illness. Visitation will be at Elkins Funeral Home in Florence, Saturday, June 23, 2018 from 10:00 - 11:00 am with the funeral following in the Chapel at 11:00.

Barbara was born in Lauderdale County June 25, 1929.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Wilson Moody and parents Joe Mitchell and Eddie Mae Richards and Great Grandson, Noah David Moody.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Cecilia), John (Beth) and Jeff (Angie) Moody; Seven grandchildren, Ashby (Adam) Schlagenhauf, Josh and Andrew Moody, Kelly (Scottie) Smith, Paige (Dusty) Cobb, Adam Moody, Anna Moody;10 Great Grandchildren, Garrett, Audrey and Easton Smith, Brooklyn Cobb, Natalie, Ella Grace, Rylan Schlagenhauf, Ryleigh Beth, Willow Kate, Mary Morgan Moody ;sisters, Pauline Thomason and Faye (Fred) Prince; and a brother, Harold David (Bobbie Sue) Richards.

The Family would like to thank the staff of The Cottages, the nurses on the 2nd floor of ECM and the nurses and staff of Glenwood rehab. Thanks to Dr. Lyman Mitchell and Dr. Jonathan Wright.
