Obituary

Mrs. Beatrice "Jackie" Sesler departed this world on March 4, 2011.
The graveside service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pastor Bill Davis from Church of the Shoals will officiate. The family will receive friends at Elkins Funeral Home Sunday from 12:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m. She is survived by her daughter Teresa Sesler and husband Philip Albright of Rogersville; grandson Chris Albright of Georgia; brother Elliot Bass and wife Martha Ann of Florence; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Sesler and son Johnny Wayne Sesler. Mrs. Sesler often reflected on her life as a cook at Bradshaw High School where she worked for 18 years. Jackie loved the many friends and acquaintances she and her husband Johnny met at the VFW where they danced the nights away and won several awards. Jackie was what we call a "River Rat", making her home on Shoals Creek for over 40 years and hosting many family reunions and catfish fries. She loved her family and friends and always said, "if you put good out, good will come in." She will be remembered most for her love of others, and for her sweet disposition. No one ever left her home hungry for food or comfort. Jackie will always be known for her love of animals. Over the years many strays found a home with her. She had 4 lifelong doggie friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to P.A.W.S., 2701 Mall Road, Florence, AL 35630. Pallbearers will be the following great nephews, Tony Duke, Lee Sesler, Zachary Foreman, Aspen McMahill, Ace Eaton and Colby Honey.
