Beheathlin M. "Bea" Lowery 98 of Decatur passed away on January 1, 2019 at her residence. She was born on July 21, 1920 in Morgan County, Alabama to John R. Moore and Lucy O. James Moore. She was a cosmetologist and caregiver until she retired.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Ledbetter, Gary Knott, and Jonathan Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Lawrence County. Visitation will be from 11:30 until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lowery was preceded in death by her husband Ernest E. Lowery; daughter Helen Ernestine Lowery Hill;and niece Loretta Whitlow Hard.

She is survived by her daughters Cindy Prater (Paul), Shelia Gillespie(Gayno), Carolyn Cole, and Sherry Kilpatrick(Charles); nieces Linda Jackson, Laura Sebelia, Lisa Flaming, Debbie Vest McNalley, and Lanita Merritt; nephew Troy Lamar Moore; grandchildren Grayson Kilpatrick, Luke Hill, Kassie Hill, Jonathan Cole, and Jennifer Johnson; great grandchildren Kallie and Audrey Johnson, Blake and Katelyn Cole, Levi McIntosh, and Jody and Daniel Chandler.

Pallbearers will be Bart Johnson, Josh Moore, Derek Jackson, Tom Walker, Chance Sparks and Tyler Stinson.
