Mrs. Belinda Kay Hewitt, 57, of Rogersville, died Monday February 15, 2010. Visitation will be Wednesday February 17, 2010, from 6-9 PM at Elkins East Chapel. The funeral service will be Thursday February 18, 2010, at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Justin Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Barnett cemetery.
She was an avid photographer who enjoyed horseback riding. She was a Safety Tech Nurse with Wayne''s Farms. She loved her job and was a very outgoing person. Belinda was a loving mother, daughter and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Brown; Grandparents, Henry and Bertha Barnett and by aunt and uncles Cleveland and Willa Mae Davis and James Campbell.
She is survived by her son, Brian Heath Walton and wife Regina of Killen; Grandchildren, Brandon Wilbanks and Jimmy Faulkner. Mother, Mildred O. Burney; Brother, David Putman and wife Debra of Muskegon, MI; Aunts, Tessie Mance of Town Creek and Wynell Campbell of Lexington. Niece, Rebeca Putman; Numerous cousins.
Pallbearers will include: Geremy Peterson, Nycholas Mance, Allen Hambright, Timothy Scroggins, Chris Hensley, Scott Naler, Donald Crosslin and Stuart Thurman. Honorary bearers will be Zachary Kinsley and Jimmy Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 104 S. Poplar St. Florence, AL 35630.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of ECM hospital, to the Northwest Alabama Cancer Treatment Center, to Dr. Patel, Dr. Hagler, Dr. Daughtery and Dr. Sago.
