Bernard D. Taylor 88 of Decatur Passed away on September 15, 2018 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. His visitation will be on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 9:30 until service time at 11:00 AM at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home chapel with Alan Watkins officiating and burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mr. Taylor served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and then went on to graduate from Athens State College with a bachelor's degree. He served as a deacon at Grant Street Church of Christ where he was a member for over 50 years. He was retired from the State of Alabama Department of Transportation.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years Betty W. Taylor. Daughters Sandy Taylor Lynch and husband Layton, Becky Taylor Moody and husband Rusty. Grandchildren Drew Lynch and Andrea Reina and husband Domenick. Alex Moody and Jonathan Moody Brothers Marvin Taylor and wife Juyne, Ray Taylor and wife Donna.
