Funeral for Bernice G. Simms, 93, of Moulton will be Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Elliott Funeral Home with Dr. Jessie Reeder and Mark Wakefield officiating.
Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Simms who died June 20, 2012 at NHC in Moulton, was born on May 3, 1919 in Walker County, Alabama to Thomas and Hattie F. Gallant. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband " The Love of her life", Ernest F. Simms; her brother Tom Gallant and sister, Dorothy Gallant. She was a retired educator from the Lawrence County School system, member of Moulton Baptist Church, Kappa Kappa Iota, United Daughters of the Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolution.
Survivors include two sons; Frank Simms, OK, George Simms (Sheila), Moulton; five grandchildren, Susan Maxey, Steve Simms, Meschelle DenBeste, Malinda Maile & husband Rolf 7 great grandchildren, Steven Maxey, Wesley Berta, Scout Berta, Tate DenBeste,, Ryan Maile, Kris Maile & n
