Funeral for Bessie Elaine Sutton, 88, of Moulton will be Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with Ray McWhorter officiating. Burial will be in Alexander Welborn Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Sutton who died August 4, 2009 at Hendrix Healthcare Center, was born January 3, 1921 in Lawrence County to George H. Melson and Nancy Jane McVay Melson. Survivors include one daughter, Carol Armstrong of Adamsville; one grandson, David Armstrong of Tampa FL; one sister, Eddie Mae Whitlock of Moulton and one brother, Arnold Melson of Danville. Several neices and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Melson, Raybusrn Melson, Charlie Prater, Buddy Oliver, Steve Whitlock and David Armstrong.
