Betty Evelyn Harvel Decatur Graveside service for Betty Evelyn Harvel, 79, of Decatur will be Sunday, June 19, 2011, at 2:00 P.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Dr. Bill Compton and Pastor Bill Lykins officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. Mrs. Harvel, who died Thursday, June 16, 2011, was born December 27, 1931, in Russellville, Ark., to Giddy Wall and Flora Jane Bobo Wall. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church which is now known as Albany Baptist Church. Mrs. Marvel worked for Wolverine Tube for 15 years and Saginaw General Motors for 20 years. She was known as Mee-Maw by her grandchildren and all of their friends. She truly loved her Lord, faith and family. Survivors include one son, Derek Harvel of Decatur; and three grandchildren, Spenser Derek Harvel, Brookelyne Sha Harvel and Rheagan Kate Harvel. Family will serve as pallbearers.
