Funeral for Betty L. Hellums Stroud, 78, of Decatur will be Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Ridout''s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Ripley and the Rev. Bob Cyphers officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Stroud, who died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009, was born March 31, 1931, in Russellville to Millard Hellums and Claudia Killingsworth Hellums. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, James A. Stroud and wife, Dona, of Birmingham; one daughter, Anita Voss and husband, Joe, of Decatur; two sisters, Mary Goodlett and husband, Conrad, of Moulton, and Norma VanMeter and husband, Don, of Easley, S.C.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
