Betty Rose Lash, age 68, of Killen, went to be with her Lord on Saturday May 8, 2010 at ECM Hospital.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday May 11, 2010 at 12 pm in the chapel of Elkins Funeral Home of Florence with Bro. Doug Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Tri Cities Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday May 10, 2010 from 6 pm until 9 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lash was a one time member of the Lee Heights Baptist Church. She loved tending to her flowers and cooking for her family. Mrs. Lash is preceded in death by her father, William Pounders and her brothers, Pete, Joe, and Terry Pounders.
Mrs. Lash is survived by her loving husband Jack Lash; her daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Foster and her son in law, Tony Foster; her son, Brad Lash; her mother, Louise Lawson Pounders; her sisters, Pamela White, Sue Austin, Pat Thompson and husband Shannon, and Nancy Pierce and husband Jesse; her brothers, Jerry Pounders and Larry Pounders and wife Sharon; 34 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Pierce, Josh Pierce, Terry Pounders, Jr., Joey Daughtery, Stanley Lash, and Stephen Austin. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Lawson and Wayne Spurgeon.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the 911 responders, Dr. Morris, Dr. Daugherty, Carl White, ECM Staff, and the many friends and family for their help and support.
