Betty Jo Mooney
Decatur Betty Jo Mooney, age 80, of Decatur, died Saturday Oct. 22, 2016. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 25, 2016, at Ridout''s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel, with Mark Posey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Betty Jo was born Dec. 14, 1935, in Limestone County, to Lendon Roy Cox and Edna Thigpen Cox who both preceded her in death. Betty Jo married the love of he life, William O. Mooney, on May 25, 1952. They spent 64 wonderful years together. She was a member of the Austinville Church of Christ and she was a loyal Auburn fan.

She was preceded in death by two brothers M.L. Cox and L.R. Cox Jr. Also preceded by one sister, Ozyleah Halbrooks.

She is survived by her husband William O. Mooney; one son, Brian Mooney and his Wife, Suzanne; along with a host of niece''s and nephews.
