Betty Richardson, 80, of Florence died Thursday, October 8, 2015, at El Reposo Nursing Facility.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence, from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Monday, October 12, 2015, at 1 PM at North Carolina Church of Christ, with Bro. Matt Heupel and Bro. Ron Lumpkins officiating. She will lie in state from 12-1 PM. Burial will be at North Carolina Cemetery.

Mrs. Richardson was a member of Woodlawn Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Richardson; daughter, Rebecca Diane Cox; four sisters, Elizabeth Grigsby, Jewel Grigsby, Frances Behel, and Martha Herston; brother, Willie Dee Swinea; parents, Dee Franklin and Blanche Price Littleton Swinea.

Mrs. Richardson is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Patrick); son, Jeff Richardson; sister, Doris Davis; three grandchildren, Brittney Hawkins, Cassie Johnson, and Jamie Johnson; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brad Davis, Brian Davis, Glen Richardson, Eddie Russell, Patrick Johnson, and Gatlin Chaney.
