Betty Sue Woodard, 82, of Elgin, passed away on September 17, 2018, at her home.  Betty was born on February 23, 1936.  She was the firstborn of Albert and Nola Burfield.  Her parents preceded her in death, as did her sister Lois.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Edward Woodard; her four children, Cyndi Beaty, Eddie Woodard, Deedee Loosier (Jeff), and Ronnie Woodard (Amanda); her seven grandchildren, Hudson and Tucker Beaty, Ryan Woodard, Brianna and Cody Loosier, Haleigh and Trey Woodard; her brothers and sisters, Jimmy Burfield (Betty), Norine Mizell (Wayne), Hoyt Burfield (Jeanie), Carolyn Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 20, 2018, from 12-2 PM at Elkins East Chapel.  Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Waylon Hill officiating.  Burial will be at Butler Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Woodard, Ronnie Woodard, Jeff Loosier, Hudson Beaty, Trey Woodard, Tucker Beaty, Cody Loosier, and Ryan Woodard.
