Billie Whitehead (Curtis) Whitehead's Obituary
Billie Joyce "Bitt" Curtis Whitehead, 74, of Florence died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at ECM Hospital.
Visitation will be Friday, September 26, 2014, at Elkins Funeral Home from 12-2 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Pastor Jay Martin officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
"Bitt" was a graduate of Coffee High School and Calhoun Community College where she received her degree in nursing. She was a retired nurse.
Mrs. Whitehead was the daughter of the late Grady and Bessie Curtis of Florence. She is also preceded in death by her husband Doys Whitehead; two sisters, Maryann Rogers and Carol Rainey.
Mrs. Whitehead is survived by her daughter, Tonya Thorn (Jonathan); two sons, William Whitehead (Melanie) and Donald Whitehead (Joanna); four grandchildren; one sister; two brothers.
Pallbearers will be James Rowden, Ronnie Jones, Ryan Miller, Eric Rowden, Patrick Curtis, and Bill Rainey.
Special thanks to the ICU Medical Staff at ECM Hospital.
