Billy D. Terry Moulton
Funeral for Billy Dwight "Cup" Terry, 76, of Moulton will be Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Calvin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mr. Terry, who died Sunday, November 29, 2009, at NHC Healthcare, was born October 4, 1933, in Lawrence County to Sherman Thomas and Idella Mardis Terry. He was a Korean War veteran and a retiree of Monsanto. Mr. Terry was also a retired poultry farmer and local beekeeper. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sarah Ellen McCombs Terry; one brother, Sherman Terry Jr.; and four sisters, Edna Dean, Berlin Dale, and Ertha Belle Terry, and Audrey Speake. He is survived by three sons, Tony Terry and wife, Judy, of Decatur, Blair Terry and wife, Lisa, of Moulton and Daryl Terry of Town Creek; one daughter, Celia Minskey of Moulton; one brother, Charles B. Terry and wife, Anna, of Bowling Green, Ky.; three sisters, Alder Terry and husband, Harbin, and Buron Norwood, all of Moulton, and Bernice Owens and husband, Mervin, of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Adam Terry, Weston Terry, Blaine Terry, Patrick Minskey, Brett Terry and Luke Terry. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
