Mr. Billy Littrell, 72, of Center Hill, passed away at ECM Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He went to be with our Lord on Saturday, August 1, 2009. He was a 52 year member of Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and Deacon.
Mr. Littrell was a native of Lauderdale County. He retired from TVA and was a member of local # 320. He served our country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be from 6:00-9:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home. The service will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Nebo Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Alvin Burbank and Bro. Terry Herston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Bonnie Hammonds Littrell; daughters Vicky Littrell Burbank, and Tracy Littrell Williams and husband Terry; 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren who were the love of his life; brother Joe Kenneth Littrell; sister Brenda Littrell Gray; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joe V. and Myrtle Littrell, brothers Donald and Bobby Littrell, and sister Dorothy Procter. Pallbearers will be the Elders of Nebo Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Sgt. B. Matthew Burbank, Leslie Burbank Spencer and Zeb Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nebo Building Fund or Hospice of the Shoals.
