Funeral for Billy Wayne Pitts, 71, of Moulton will be Thursday, February 11, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Walters officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Pitts, who died Monday, February 8, 2010, was born August 9, 1938, in Limestone County to Clyde Washington Pitts and Lena Mae Chambers Pitts. He was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 1963. He was retired from John Deere Tractor Supply. Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Jim Ed Pitts, Lewis Pitts, Edward "Ebby" Pitts, Thomas Pitts, Fred Junior Pitts and Kenneth Pitts; and two sisters, Minnie Pearl "Sis" Pitts and Helen Pitts Wilbourn. Survivors include three daughters, Peggy Pitts Sivley (Floyd) of Moulton, Stella Pitts Roper (Allen) of Mount Hope and Debra Pitts Parker (Kenneth) of Town Creek; adopted son, Chad Hutto of Moulton; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Brandon Weeks, Karmon Sivley, Schylyn Sivley, Casey Parker, Meleana Sivley, Malloire Ferguson, Shawn Roper, Rachel Roper, Josh Sivley and Keisha Sivley; one sister, Linda Pitts Wilbourn of Moulton; one brother, Johnny W. Pitts of Town Creek; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Joshua Jackson, Brandon Weeks, Karmon Sivley, Schylyn Sivley, Casey Parker and Shawn Roper. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny W. Jones and Doug Terry.
