Blanche Terry Runager passed away Feb. 22, 2009, in Decatur. She was born to George Henry Terry and Alice Iona Gaultney Terry on Dec. 14, 1919. She was the widow of David Hollis Runager, whom she had been married to for 60 years. Predeceasing Blanche were her brothers and sisters, Allen Terry, James Terry, Augustine Terry Palmer, Maveline Terry Stovall, Ruby Terry Lee, Beaulah Terry Sims, George Terry Jr. and Charles Terry. She is survived by her two sons, David Kenneth Runager and wife, Patsy Hill Run-ager, and Terry Joe Runager and wife, Margaret "Peg" Runager; her seven grandchildren, Ken Runager and wife, Alison, Michael Runager and wife, Dawn, Jason Runager and wife, Holly, Cherokee Runager, Heston Runager, Eve Richey and Keith Stanley. She has 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. One sister, Beatrice Terry Runager; one brother-in-law, Billy Joe Runager; two sisters-in-law, Irene Terry and Gerri Davis; and her very special friends, Sue Dyar and Mary Ruth Townsend. Mrs. Runager was a former employee of Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q, where she worked for 23 years before retiring at the age of 73. She was a longtime member of the Caddo Meth-odist Church and the VFW Women''s Auxiliary. She was a resident of Wesley Acres Retirement Community. Bro. George Harmon of the Caddo Methodist Church will officiate her funeral service on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ken Runager, Michael Runager, Jason Runager, Cherokee Runager, Josh Runager and Tommy Lee. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Palmer. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and special thanks to Dr. PJM Reddy, Alacare Hospice, especially, Melissa and Brooke, and all the nurses on the fifth floor of Decatur General Hospital for all the compassionate service to our mother and our family.
