Funeral for Bobby Tays, age 78,from Landersville, will be Friday September 2nd at 2:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home Chapel with O. D. Bowling and Mark Posey officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Tays, who died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 was born on September 21, 1937 in Lauderdale county to Comer W. Tays and Ethel Skipworth Tays.
Mr. Tays was a member of Moulton Church of Christ. He retired from Amoco Chemical and over the last few years, he enjoyed driving tractors, riding his 4-wheeler, checking cows and generally living the country life.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Craig Tays; three daughters, Debbie McCay (Joel), Sandy Johnson (Jeff), and Robin Byrd (Kevin); two sisters, Maxine Duncan, Knoxville, TN and Jo Flaherty (Bill) of Cedartown, GA.;
six grandchildren, Michael McCay, Seth McCay (Shelby), Tanner O'Quinn (Aleah), Victoria Johnson, Casey Byrd and Cassie Byrd; three great grandchildren.
