The funeral for Mrs. Bonnie S. Robertson will be Monday November 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elkins East Chapel, Center Star with Burial will follow In the Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Robertson 75 passed away at Glenwood Rehabilitation & Convalescent Friday, October 31, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Lee Robertson, her parents, Rev. Lonnie & Ora Lee Sims.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by daughters, Barbara Smiley & husband Billy of Athens, Sharon Jones & husband Wayne of Athens, Patricia Tribble & Ray Hughes of Dayton, Tn., Linda Robertson & Rafael Carrasquillo of Athens, Lisa Toon & Ronnie Hawn of Anderson, son Jimmy Robertson of Florence. Sister Dorothy Clemons & husband Earnest of North Carolina, brothers J. C. Sims & wife Evelyn of Anderson, Glen Sims & late wife Patsy, of Anderson. Eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, many nieces & nephews and her special friends, her dogs snowball, feisty, skipper, pretty girl & spot.
Mrs Robertson liked being outside working in her flower gardens or cleaning the gold fish tank and loved playing with her dogs. Special thanks to Dr. Danny Mcfalls, Colbert Co. Home Health, Regina Brewer, A & E Hospice, Lauderdale Co. Home Health Home, and a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Webb & the staff of Glenwood Rehabilitation & Convalescent Center, an extra special thanks to Station B.
Pallbearers will be Chris Holden, Kenny Holden, Terry Norman, Kevin Toon, Brad Long, & Wayne Jones, honorary pallbearers will be Michael Tribble, Carlton Wayne Jones, Jr. and Billy Smiley.
