Funeral service for Brooks Ashcraft, Decatur will be Saturday Nov. 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon till 2 p.m. in the chapel.
Mr. Ashcraft who died Wednesday Nov. 1, 2017 was born on April 21, 1933, in Palmetto, AL to Henry and Gladys Ashcraft. He served as an officer for the Decatur Police Department for 33 years, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Gladys Ashcraft, brother; A.D. Ashcaraft and wife; Treba Laine Ashcraft.
He is survived by a daughter: Sheila Rivers (David), grandchildren: Brooke Rusnak (Bret) and Cass Rivers (Rena), and great-grandchildren: Owen Rusnak, Hayden Rusnak and Carter Rivers, and Godson: Eric Taylor.
