C B Carter, Jr., 64, of Elgin Crossroads died Monday at his residence. Visitation will be Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 5-8 PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will be Friday, February 3, 2012, 11 AM at Elkins East Chapel, with Bro. Neal Trousdale, Bro. Jeff Trousdale, and Bro. Clifton Dabbs officiating. Burial will be at Barkley-White Cemetery. Mr. Carter was a member of Elgin Church of Christ and was a painter for North Alabama Roofing. He was preceded in death by his parents, CB (Shine) and Fannie (Sis) Carter. CB is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Jacqueline Faye Carter; son, Brad Carter (Valerie); granddaughter, Chasity Michelle Dawn Carter; step-grandson''s Nycholas Mance and Zackary Kinsey; two brothers, William Carter (Sylvia) and David Carter; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, "Buddy, Chico, and Lucy". Pallbearers will be Shane Dabbs, Shawn Dabbs, Bryan Dabbs, Dustin Dabbs, Mark Jewell, and Eddie Staggs.
