Funeral for Calvin Coolidge Hughes , 87 of Decatur will be Tuesday June 12,2012 at Ridout''s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. With Rev. Earl Holt officiating. The Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Falkville, Al. With Masonic graveside rites.
Mr. Hughes was born in Eva, Alabama to Joe and Ozella Hughes. He graduated from Eva High School and then went on to serve in The U.S. Army in WW II in the Second Army Special Troops. He was retired from Goodyear in Decatur. He was a member of Austinville First Baptist Church, A member of the American Legion and The Rising Sun Masonic Lodge # 29.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Wife Dean Hughes, 2 Sons Barry & Darrell Hughes and a grandson David Mixon Jr..
He is survived by 3 Daughters: Celia Fabery and Husband Ray; Janet Burleson and Husband Hank; Becky Mixon and Husband David all of Decatur.
Grandchildren:Chris Hasting,Chad Parker, Clint Parker, Matt Burleson, Tyler Burleson, Whitney Mixon.
Pallbearers will be Grandchildren and Son in Laws.
The Family would like to Thank Mr. Hughes'' Caregivers and Hospice of the Valley for their love and support.
