Funeral for Carol Sumiko Reid, 79, of Decatur will be today, March 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dallas Culver officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Reid, who died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at her residence, was born April 3, 1931, in Japan. She was a member of Austinville United Methodist Church for 48 years. She retired from Parisian with 25 years of service.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Fred C. Reid; four sons, John Reid and wife, Stacey, George Reid and wife, Melanie, Fred Reid and wife, Joan, and Joey Reid; one daughter, June Speake and husband, Greg; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family request donations be made to Austinville United Methodist Church.
