Carolyn Jill Barham Brinkman, 66, of Moulton joined the Lord on December 4, 2009. She was born Carolyn Jill Barham in New Orleans on February 19, 1943. She always spent the summers of her youth in Moulton with her beloved aunt and uncle, Lucile Littrell Jones and Fletcher "Supe" Jones, and moved there permanently with her family in 1989. She was a lifelong lover of animals, and consistent contributor to agencies devoted to their welfare. She was also a dedicated nature conservationist and active in the efforts to protect the Bankhead Forest area. She worked for North-west Airlines in New Orleans Airport for 15 years. She is survived by her husband, James "Jim" Brinkman; one daughter, Jamie Littrell Brinkman of Moulton; and brother, Thomas Jackson Barham of Decatur. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rod Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Mrs. Brinkman will be at the church one hour before the service. Elliott Funeral Home is conducting arrangements.
