Carolyn M. Burks, 72 of Decatur, AL passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020.  She was a native of Morgan Co.  She was a member of the Carnegie Visual Arts Center were she had the honor to receive the Directors Award at the Embracing Arts Annual Event.  She was retired from NOAA.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Dot Burks; sister, Theresa B. Elkourie.

Survivors include her nieces, Heather Lee Cannon, Sabina Cannon Andrews (Chris) and numerous other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.
